Omorodion not keen on Chelsea move
Atletico Madrid striker, Samu Omorodion, is one Chelsea target who does not look like he will be moving to the Stamford Bridge this summer as it has been revealed that he is not keen on the move, National Daily Newspaper reports.
Chelsea are struggling to sign players they have shown interest in.
Aside from the signing of Tosin Adarabioyo from Fulham, they have missed out on Crystal Palace’s Michael Olise who is now close to a Bayern switch.
However, the winger is not the only player Chelsea are going to lose out on this summer.
As well as out wide, Chelsea have been trying to strengthen up front.
It is to be expected, with the Blues finishing last season with Nicolas Jackson as their only recognized striker.
Chelsea were believed to be extremely keen on Atletico Madrid’s Omorodion, but their interest in him now seems to have cooled.
According to journalist Simon Phillips, the club are no longer pursuing the 20-year-old, while he was not eager to move to Stamford Bridge anyway.

On his Sub stack, Phillips said, “Interest has cooled in Samu Omorodion after Chelsea believed his fee was too high, and Atletico Madrid were not prepared to negotiate down.
The player also didn’t want to come to Chelsea or leave his club.”
Another journalist, Gianluca Di Marzio, claimed that Atletico valued Omorodion at €80m (£67.7m).
The Athletic also reported that the Blues have held talks with the representatives of Lille’s Jonathan David.
At 24, he is way more experienced than the Atletico youngster and has a much better track record.
Last season, David scored 26 goals in 47 appearances for Lille, while Omorodion managed eight in the 35 games he played during his loan spell at Alaves.
