“Nigeria, thank you for your energy, generosity & kindness,” Joshua wrote in a message that resonated deeply with his Nigerian fanbase, many of whom interpreted it as a fond farewell.
Fans flooded his comment section with messages of support and encouragement for his return to the ring. One fan, Gbadia Figheghawei, urged him to “Go and take over the world, my brother.”
During his stay in Nigeria, the 35-year-old boxer captured the hearts of many with several down-to-earth moments.

His visit to Sagamu, his ancestral hometown, became a major talking point on social media, generating considerable excitement among his Nigerian supporters.
A highlight of his time in Nigeria included attending the birthday celebration of Africa’s wealthiest man, Aliko Dangote, where he mingled with prominent Nigerian billionaires. He also shared a lighthearted, viral moment with his personal chef.
