DFA election was illegal –Gusau
The Chairman of Nigeria Football Federation NFF, Executive Board Member Alhaji Ibrahim Gusau has declared that the purported election conducted into the Delta State Football Association in Warri is illegal and will not be recognised by the Nigeria Football Federation, National Daily learnt.
Gusau said the election did not have the approval of NFF and at the right time the new date and venue will be communicated to the Delta State Government and all the delegates.
” As NFF Chairman of Chairmen in charge of states F.A elections, I can tell you that I am not aware of any election in Delta State.

“If NFF sanctioned the election , I would have sent a representative to supervise it. To me there is nothing like elective congress in Delta, but just a gathering of friends in Warri,’ he said.
The Zamfara State F.A Chairman further stated that any election into the States F.A must be in line with NFF Statutes with dates, delegate names, time and venue duly approved by the Federation.
