There is emerging disquiet as the United States indication plans to lift travel ban in November but insisted on travelers providing evidence of being fully vaccinated against covid-19. Many have insisted on their rights to seek medical services when they have the need for them, not be compelled by government authorities to seek medical services for ailments that were not diagnosed or felt any symptom, as in the case of coronavirus.

While some citizens admit submitting themselves for coronavirus vaccination, some others argue that they cannot be forced to accept coronavirus vaccination when they are not sick or diagnosed of the infection. They stated that they are willing to accept the vaccine when they are diagnosed with the infection, questioning why a healthy human should seek medical treatment without having sickness.

The United States on Monday revealed the plan to lift COVID-19 travel bans on all air passengers that are fully vaccinated and who undergo testing and contact tracing beginning from November. The travel ban was imposed by former US President Donald Trump 18 months ago.

Many citizens have cried out that the travel ban has separated several people, partners, and groups – keeping relatives, friends and business partners all over the world apart over the past months of the derestriction imposition.

It was gathered that Jeffrey Zients, coronavirus response coordinator for President Joe Biden, disclosed that the new “consistent approach” would take effect “early November.”

The ending of travel restrictions proclaimed by Donald Trump, has been identified as a significant shift by the Biden administration, as well as a positive response to a major demand from European countries during the period of crisis in diplomatic relations.

It was, however, indicated that several other preventive guidelines will be sustained to suppress the spread of coronavirus, which was said to have already killed over 670,000 people in America.

Zients had stated: “Most importantly, foreign nationals flying to the US will be required to be fully vaccinated.”

However, the US would sustain a travel ban on land borders, thus, restrictions on vehicle movement from Canada and Mexico into the US still remain. Zients said.

Zients had emphasized “We do not have any updates on the land border policies.”

Zients insisted that passengers will need to show they were fully vaccinated before boarding aircraft bound for the United States, as well as providing proof of a negative Covid-19 test taken within three days.

He added that Americans not fully vaccinated will still be allowed to enter, but only on testing negative within a day of travel.

Further measures include that the use of masks will be obligatory on US-bound flights, and airlines will provide the US health authorities with contact tracing information.

According to Zients, “This new international travel system follows the science to keep Americans’ international air travel safe.”
