Driver arrested for killing his 80-yr-old boss, wife
An auto mechanic, identified as Jonathan Marcus, has been arrested for allegedly killing an elderly couple in Abuja.
It was gathered that the suspect used to work as a driver to the deceased couple, one Adebola Ezekiel, 80, and his wife, Abiodun Ezekiel. The couple was gruesomely murdered at their residence at Apo Legislative Quarters in Abuja on March 31, 2024.
The man, who was in a wheelchair and his wife had their throats slit by their assailants who reportedly use a daggers.
Parading the suspect on Friday, April 19, the Commissioner of Police, Federal Capital Territory Command, Benneth Igweh, revealed that police detectives trailed the suspect and arrested him in his hideout in Obajana, Kogi.
Igwe claimed that the suspect had freely confessed to having gained access to the house on the same day, slit the deceased’s throats, and made away with their phones and ATM cards.
