With the inauguration of the Assembly, the battle has shifted to the 2024 governorship election in the state, which has been predicted to be a fierce battle.
Presently, Edo Central is trailing Edo South and Edo North in the distribution of political power.
Governor Godwin Obaseki is from the South, while Deputy Governor Philip Shaibu and Speaker Blessing Agbebaku are from the northern part of Edo State.
Today’s event is a far departure from the inauguration that snowballed into recurring rancour which threatened the peace of Edo State and subsequently assumed national dimension.
