Serial killings, kidnapping, raped have become rampant in Edo North by Fulani Herdsmen
who were recently forced out of Kogi State.

The people of Edo North have implored Edo State Governor, Obaseki, to learn from Kogi State Government how they forced the Fulani herdsmen out of the state.
The Fulani Herdsmen have built camps make shift settlements in the forests around local communities from where they launch attacks on their host communities.
Aliya Mamudu, a resident of Auchi told National Daily that as a Muslim, he understands the Fulani herdsmen already have their camps in the forests.
According to him, “we the Muslims in Edo North have been living peacefully until recently that we started witnessing some killings, kidnapping and rape by Fulani Herdsmen.
“We call on all Edo farmers to be very vigilant and burn down any camp found in the forest. Declare such camps illegal and enemy zone. Let us protect ourselves, you must defend yourself against these murderers.
When our Reporter contacted the Edo State Police Public Relations Officer, he said that their men are already on top of the situation.
