EFCC’s Olukoyede urges youth to lead grassroots anti-corruption efforts
Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mr. Ola Olukoyede, has urged youths nationwide to take the anti-corruption crusade to the grassroots.
Speaking at the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) Training Facility in Abuja on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, during a debate program titled “Head to Head,” Olukoyede emphasized the importance of youth involvement in fighting corruption at the local level.
Represented by the Head of the Enlightenment and Reorientation Unit, Assistant Commander of the EFCC, ACE II Aisha Mohammed, Olukoyede highlighted the vital role that young Nigerians play in shaping the nation’s future.

“You are the future of this country. We want you to know that your voices matter in this fight, and from today onward, you have to take the fight against corruption dear to your heart,” he stated.
Assistant Superintendent of the EFCC, ASE I Olalekan Ogunjobi, also cautioned youths against cybercrime, stressing the availability of legitimate avenues for earning a living online. The debate aimed to tackle the issue of out-of-school children and promote good morals among the youth for a better society.
Dr. Alhassan Sule, Executive Chairman/Board Secretary of UBEC, FCT Chapter, underscored the importance of education in solving national challenges and encouraged students to become advocates for change.
