Elon Musk looks forward to 2024 presidential election in US
Elon Musk on Wednesday revealed renewed interest in the 2024 presidential election in the United States (U.S.). He disclosed that his vote will go for the Governor of Florida, Ron DeSantis, in the 2024 presidential race, saying that a “red wave” is coming in 2022.
Musk in a Twitter conversation with a popular Tesla fan, emphasized that he is yet to decide if he will vote for a Republican presidential candidate, but said he will support Governor DeSantis.
Musk in a Twitter post last month indicated that he will be switching his vote from the Democrat to the Republican.
According to Musk, “In the past I voted Democrat because they were the kindness party.
“But they have become the party of division and hate, so, I can no longer support them and will vote Republican.”
Musk said he supported Democrat Andrew Yang for president in 2020, saying he is transferring his support to DeSantithis time.
“I supported Yang last time, but DeSantis has a better chance of winning,” Musk stated in a tweet.
Meanwhile, the Florida Governor, Ron DeSantis, a Republican, is yet to declare interest to contest the 2024 presidential election in the U.S. and former President Donald Trump is still mobilizing for a comeback in 2024.
DeSantis at a press conference on Wednesday, indicated that he is concentrating on his governorship re-election in November 2022.
DeSantis stated: “I’m focused on 2022.
“But always appreciate the support from African Americans!”
