EPL most creative players
Star strikers such as Harry Kane and Romelu Lukaku almost always grab the glory.
But they’d be nothing without the creative players who put the ball on a plate for them.
Statistics collated by the Mirror’s data unit shows that Manchester City’s midfield maestro, David Silva, eight years after arriving in the Premier League, is showing no sign of losing his creative spark.
The Spaniard has created 13 goal-scoring chances for his teammates in league games this season – a feat matched only by Liverpool’s Mo Salah – but he’s had more game time than Silva.
City star Silva has created a chance every 18.7 minutes on average.
Salah, by comparison, averages a chance every 26 minutes, which is the sixth highest average.
Chelsea’s Eden Hazard has the second best average, with his 10 chances coming at the rate of one every 22.3 minutes.
Alexis Sanchez, of Manchester United, has created eight chances at the rate of one every 23.3 minutes.
Here are the players with the most chances created and those with the best rate of carving out chances.
