Erelu slapped with 4-count charge for giving out petrol as souvenir
The Lagos socialite who handed out jerrycans filled with petrol to participants at her event has been charged to court.
Ms Ogbulu Chindinma Pearl was arraigned before a Chief Magistrate, Kehinde Ogundare, at the Special Offences (Mobile) Court sitting at Oshodi.
She was arraigned on a four-count charge of distributing Premium Motor Spirit (PMS ) also known as petrol as a souvenir during her installation party on l March 5, 2022, at Havillah Event Centre, Lagos.
The offence, according to the police, violates Section 251(1), 168 (1), 244 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015 and Section 195 (2)(b) of the Environmental Management Protection Law of Lagos State 2017.
The defendant was granted bail in the sum of N2m and two responsible sureties in like sum.
The matter was adjourned till March 24, 2022 for trial.
