Ex-soldier slumps, dies after watching Super Eagles’ match
A retired soldier of the Nigerian Army, identified as Joseph Oloruntoju, slumped and died on Saturday after watching the Nation’s Cup qualifier between Nigeria and the Bafana Bafana of South Africa.
National daily gathered that Oloruntoju, who was said to have retired from the army as a sergeant, reportedly left his residence at Ajipowo area of Akure and went to the Owena Army Barracks to watch the match along with his friends.
A source told National daily that the deceased as an ardent lover of Nigerian football, slumped shortly after the Eagles conceded the second goal.
