Family rolls out new program for Uwaifo’s burial

The family of Sir Victor Uwaifo has rolled out new burial arrangements for the late music superstar who died on August 28, 2021. The funeral arrangements commence on October 14.

The funeral activities will begin with a day of tributes, vigil, mass/service of songs at Ogbe Hard Court, Sam Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City, from 2.00pm to 6.00pm on October 14.

Then, the lying-in-state from 11.00am to 1.00pm on October 15. A requiem mass is scheduled to be held the same day at Ogbe Hard Court, Sam Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City, from 1.00pm to 3.00pm.

Thereafter, interment will follow at the late Uwaifo’s residence at 4-12 Victor Uwaifo Avenue, off College Road, Ekehuan, Benin City, between 4.00pm to 6.00pm on October 15.

Other Social activities will be held in Sir Uwaifo’s honour at Garrick Playground, opposite UNIBEN Ekehuan Campus, Benin City, at 12.00 noon on October 16.

Then, there will be a thanksgiving service at Holy Cross Cathedral, Mission Road, Benin City by 9.00am on October 17.
