FG registers two academic unions to weaken ASUU
The Federal Government on Tuesday registered two academic unions, identified as the National Association of Medical and Dental Academics (NAMDA) and the Congress of Nigerian University Academics (CONUA), to weaken the Academic Staff Union Of Universities (ASUU) the university system.
The Minister of Labour and Productivity, Dr. Chris Ngige, said that the two new unions will coexist with ASUU, which members have been on strike since February 14, 2022.
