Fire Service, safety officers extinguish fire at petrol station in Lagos
A combined team of fire service and other agencies in Lagos State has extinguished the fire outbreak at the Mobil petrol station opposite Alaka police station on Wednesday. They were able to extinguish the fire after several hours of battling with the flame.
The southwest coordinator of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Ibrahim Farinloye, said that no lives was lost in the inferno, noting that the emergency response was rapid to prevent the fire from spreading further to other buildings in the environment.
A tanker conveying Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), known as Petrol, had caught fire at the Mobil filling station, in Mushin, Lagos.
