Former DSS boss reacts to arrest of Tukur Mamu, reveals what his abductors told him
The Former Director of the Department of State Security (DSS), Mike Ejiofor has revealed what his abductors told him while reacting to the detention of the terrorists’ negotiator, Tukur Mamu. Mike Ejiofor who was interviewed on Trust TV stated that Mamu Tukur is not a trained negotiator and that since the government didn’t appoint him as a negotiator, the DSS has been gathering information about him and also monitoring his dealings.
Mike Ejiofor said Mamu Tukur took the negotiation as a personal business. He said that most people who call themselves negotiators have taken it as a personal business as they might have connections with the abductors (kidnappers).
He used his abduction in 2021 to explain this and according to him, a group of kidnappers told him not to tell their colleagues the exact money he paid as ransom.
Mike Ejiofor said there is always a short-changing between negotiators and terrorists, and that he thinks that was what Mamu Tukur. Mike Ejiofor revealed that Mamu Tukur must have been monitored in the process of securing the release of the Abuja-Kaduna train victims.
