FRSC opens 2026 nationwide recruitment, online applications begin July 3

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has announced the commencement of its 2026 nationwide recruitment exercise, with the online application portal set to open on Friday, July 3, and remain accessible for four weeks.

The announcement was contained in an official notice signed by the Deputy Corps Marshal and Head of Administration and Human Resources, Pauline Olaye, on behalf of the Corps Marshal.

The Corps stressed that the recruitment exercise is entirely free of charge and warned prospective applicants against fraudsters and individuals demanding money in exchange for employment. It urged members of the public to apply only through the official recruitment portal and disregard unofficial websites or agents.

The recruitment exercise will cover three categories: the Officer Cadre, the Marshal Inspectorate Cadre, and the Road Marshal Assistant Cadre. Vacancies in the Officer Cadre are open to candidates with degrees in fields such as Medicine, Law, Pharmacy, Engineering, Nursing, and other relevant disciplines, as well as holders of bachelor’s degrees and Higher National Diplomas from accredited institutions. Applicants for this category must also possess a valid NYSC discharge or exemption certificate and be between 18 and 35 years of age.

For the Marshal Inspectorate Cadre, the FRSC is seeking applicants with qualifications including the National Certificate in Education (NCE), National Diploma (ND), Registered Nurse (RN), Registered Midwife (RM), or Community Health Extension Worker (CHEW) certificates. Eligible candidates must be between 18 and 30 years old.

The Road Marshal Assistant Cadre is open to candidates with a minimum of three credits in WAEC, NECO or NABTEB, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in not more than two sittings. Drivers are required to possess valid driver’s licences, while artisans must present Trade Test Certificates. Applicants for this cadre must be between 18 and 35 years old, except articulated and tow-truck drivers, whose age limit is 26 to 40 years.

The FRSC also outlined several mandatory conditions for applicants. Candidates must be Nigerian citizens by birth, single, medically and physically fit, and possess a medical fitness certificate from a government-approved hospital. Male applicants must be at least 1.65 metres tall, while female applicants must be at least 1.58 metres. Applicants must not have tattoos, criminal records, or outstanding financial obligations. Basic computer literacy is also required across all cadres.

The Corps advised applicants to declare all academic and professional qualifications during the application process, warning that undeclared certificates will not be recognised for future career advancement within the organisation.

Interested candidates are to submit their applications online through the official FRSC recruitment portal from July 3. Applicants will be required to create an account using a valid email address and National Identity Number (NIN), complete the online application form, upload all required documents, and print the confirmation slip after successful submission for subsequent screening.

The FRSC reiterated that no payment is required at any stage of the recruitment process and encouraged applicants to report anyone demanding money for employment.
