Gombe Emir dies of heart attack 16 months after coronation
Funakaye Local Government Area (LGA) of Gombe state was on Sunday morning thrown into a sorry state following the death of its Emir, Alhaji Mu’azu Muhammad Kwairanga III.
Alhaji Mu’azu Muhammad Kwairanga III, the emir of Funakaye, Gombe, is dead. He died on Sunday morning, August 28, after suff€ring an heart attack.
He was 45-year-old. He was installed as the Emir of Funakaye by Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya in May 2021 following the demise of his elder brother who also d#ed on the throne.
Abubakar Barde, a resident of Funakaye, told TheCable that: “He died of a heart attack around 12 am on Sunday. Mu’azu Kwairanga was a father to all, he showed love to the people of Funakaye.

Indeed, we have lost a great leader. His burial will take place this afternoon by 2 pm in Bajoga, Funakaye LGA of Gombe.”
