Gov AbdulRazaq order immediate disbursement of scholarship funds to Kwara Law students
Gov. AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State has directed the immediate disbursement of scholarship allowances to indigenous students in the Nigerian Law Schools across the country.
The Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Dr Afees Abolore, after a stakeholders’ meeting in Ilorin, said the money would be paid directly into the accounts of the beneficiary students for accountability and transparency.
Abolore reiterated the commitment of the AbdulRazaq administration to ensuring that the welfare of the students is prioritised, urging them to be studious and good ambassadors of the state.
The commissioner, who lauded the giant strides of the state government, said the list generated from the Nigerian Law Schools would be used to ensure that the disbursement is carried out seamlessly.
He assured the students that his Ministry, in collaboration with the State Scholarship Board, would take swift action to ensure immediate commencement of the disbursement of the money.
Meanwhile, the state government has congratulated Omotayo Dada, an indigene of Kwara, for her brilliant academic performance, culminating in her becoming the overall best graduating student at the Nigerian Law School.
