Gov. Dickson’s aide murdered
The Bayelsa Police Command are now investigating the assassination of an aide to Governor Seriake Dickson at 1 am Tuesday in his hometown in Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Area.
Ebikimi Okoringa had yet to take office as an adviser to the governor after his appointment a month ago.
Bayelsa police commissioner, Don Awunah, said “We understand that he had a brief altercation with some people shortly before he was murdered.
Bayelsa information commissioner, Daniel Iworiso-Markson, conveyed the sadness of Mr Dickson and his cabinet about Tuesday’s development.
He said that the state would ensure a thorough investigation.
