Gov. Inuwa Yahaya condemns killing of ECWA clergy in Gombe
Gov. Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State has strongly condemned the killing of Rev. Bala Galadima, the Presiding Clergy of the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA) in Lubo community, Yamaltu/Deba Local Government Area.
National Daily Newspaper gathered that Galadima was murdered in the early hours of Sunday by suspected armed robbers at his residence in Lubo village.
In a statement issued on Monday by his media aide, Mr. Ismaila Uba-Misilli, Yahaya described the murder as an assault on the peace and security that Gombe State has long enjoyed.
He emphasized that such incidents should not be allowed to disrupt the state’s long-standing peaceful coexistence.
Yahaya urged the public to remain vigilant and not let criminal elements disturb the harmony and security in the state.

“I have directed security agencies to leave no stone unturned in tracking down the perpetrators and bringing them to justice. I want to reassure the good people of Gombe State that the government remains resolute in its commitment to ensuring their safety and security. We will continue to take decisive measures and deploy superior force to eliminate criminal elements wherever they may be hiding,” the governor said.
On behalf of the government and the people of Gombe, the governor extended his condolences to the bereaved family, the ECWA Church, and the entire Christian community in the state.
He also prayed for the repose of the soul of the late Rev. Bala Galadima.
