Gov. Makinde appeals to citizens for calm over Igangan killings
Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, on Sunday appealed to resident of the state to remain calm over the killings by Fulani herdsmen in Igangan, Ibarapa Local Government, Oyo State.
Governor Makinde in a message on his official Facebook page, assured the people that security operatives are in control of the situation after the fresh attack by bandits in Igangan.
The governor had noted: “I received the news of the attack on residents of Igangan in the early hours of this morning”.
About 50 persons were said to be killed by bandits in Igangan on Sunday in fresh attack which has been generating tension in the state.
