Gov. Uzodinma arrests, detains Sen. Okorocha in Imo
Security operatives, on the order of the court created Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State, on Sunday arrested former Governor of Imo State, Senator Anayo Rochas Okorocha, on allegation of inciting breakdown of law and order in the state governed by the court created Governor Hope Uzodinma of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
It was highlighted that Senator Okorocha was arrested by Imo State government for personally leading the destruction and vandalism of security vehicles and breaking into the property of Imo State government.
It was alleged that former Governor Okorocha on Sunday afternoon led armed thugs to break into the property of the Imo State government, destroying security vehicles and other state government properties. He is being detained at the C.I.D. office in Imo State.
Uzodinma has been waging unmitigated war against Senator Okorocha and his political bloc in the state since assuming office, including attacking some of his business interests.
The Imo State government has threatened that Okorocha would be prosecuted in court.
