Many supporting staff of the Lagos State House of Assembly, who had no hope for the festive period got a boost as the lawmaker representing Mushin Constituency 2, Hon. Olawale Olayiwola gives cash and materials gifts to light up their moods.
The supporting staff comprises all security operatives like the policemen and private security outfit (Perfecta security), Cleaners and Sergeants At Arm attached to the House of Assembly.
Olayiwola, who gave out the cash gifts and materials in batches to the beneficiaries stated his joy as he observed them dancing and jubilating as they received the gifts, eve of the New year.
One of the private security outfit agent, who is a beneficiaries of the largesse beaming with smile of restored hope, Shola Adeniran told journalists that he was never expecting the gift from the lawmaker, saying that the lawmaker was God’s sent to him at the period.
Adeniran stated that the cash gift would ease the financial stress he had been witnessing for the past few days, saying that he had lost hope before the sudden splash of cash on him by the lawmaker.
One of the Cleaners, Florence Akpan, said that the gifts would cover up for the yet to be paid salary, saying that she never put her mind in getting the cash gift from the lawmaker.
” We are yet to be paid our December salary and this has been given me sleepless night on how myself and my family will celebrate this New Year. I was just sitting at my duty post when I heard that Hon. Olayiwola is sharing cash and material gifts to everyone regardless of your status.
” I rushed to quickly get my own and get back to my duty post. God will continue to bless him for us. This New Year will be celebrated well now with this gift”, said Akpan.
Some of the beneficiaries were sighted showering encomium on the lawmaker at their duty posts as they expressed joy on his kind gesture.
