How Nyesom Wike took a swipe at Governor Hope Uzodinma at a function
Ahead of the 2023 Gubernatorial Election in Imo State, The Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike on Wednesday took a swipe at his Imo State Counterpart, Governor Hope Uzodinma. Speaking At a Reception organized by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to welcome home the PDP National Secretary, Senator Samuel Anyanwu who is an Indigene of the State.
Anyanwu, a Former Senator representing Imo East Senatorial District was accompanied to the State by the PDP National Chairman, Iyorchia Ayu.
It’s no longer a news that Uzodinma who is a Chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) emerged as Governor of Imo State in January 2020 following a Supreme Court Judgement that ordered the sacking of his Predecessor, Rt Hon. Emeka Ihedioha of the PDP.
Wike stated that the People of Imo State ‘ll be making a big mistake in 2023 if Uzodinma is re-elected as Governor, he added that he is unfit to rule the State. Speaking further, Wike lamented that the All Progressives Congress (APC) has failed Nigerians. The Rivers State Governor urged all Nigerians to unite and push them away both in Imo State and Nigeria at large.
