How Zelensky reacts to NATO rejection of his No-Fly Zone demand
The president of Ukraine, Zelensky has reacted after NATO rejected his demand of imposing a no-fly zone over the skies of Ukraine against the Russian troops.
Recall that NATO’s secretary-general, Jens Stoltenberg said on Friday that their allies have agreed not to send NATO troops to the Ukrainian territory or NATO planes operating over the Ukrainian airspace.
He said that imposing a no-fly zone over Russia would mean engaging in a direct fight against the Russian troops which could risk escalating the violence across Ukraine and causing a war in Europe. He said that they’re not part of the conflict but they must protect their territory by making sure the conflict doesn’t spread beyond Ukraine.
Zelensky during a video address last night accused NATO of giving green light to the Russians to bomb their cities and villages for their refusal to create a no-fly zone. He said that any further deaths from the conflict are because of NATO while revealing that all that was delivered to them yesterday was 50 tons of diesel.
“For nine days we’ve seen a fierce war, our people are being destroyed. They are shelling our people, our children, residential areas, churches, schools, everything that provides people with a normal life is being destroyed and they want to continue it.”
“Knowing that new strikes and casualties are inevitable. NATO consciously made the decision not to close airspace over Ukraine.”

“All the people who die from this day forward will also die because of you, because of your weakness, because of your lack of unity, the alliance has given the green light to the bombing of Ukrainian cities and villages by refusing to create a no-fly zone.”
“All that the alliance was able to do today was to pass through its procurement system 50 tons of diesel fuel for Ukraine.”
He ended the speech by saying that fuel can’t be the price paid for bloodshed in the conflict with Russia.
“You will not be able to pay us off with liters of fuel for the liters of blood, shed for our common Europe and joint freedom.”
Zelensky isn’t happy that NATO rejected his no-fly zone demand and today being Saturday makes it the tenth day since Putin declared a special military operation in Ukraine.
