“I heard Boko Haram slaughtered 10 people in Geidam because they found them in a Brothel” – Babajide Kolade Otitoju
During the recent Journalists’ Hangout session anchored by a correspondent of TVC News, an investigative journalist named Babajide Kolade Otitoju (BKO) revealed some things about Boko Haram terrorists, bandits and the President’s meeting with military chiefs.
On Boko Haram terrorists, Babajide Kolade Otitoju said, “I heard Boko Haram slaughtered ten (10) people in geidam because they found them in a brothel. They also burnt down a government school recently.”
Regarding Bandits, he said, “some Nigerians are singing the praises of these people which is why they feel they have power over the state.” He added, “I saw a very long interview a media house granted Turji, the leader of the bandits. This is wrong!”
Concerning President Muhammadu Buhari’s meeting with some ministers and military chiefs, he expressed displeasure saying, “all the meetings are needed but results are more needed by Nigerians.”
Lastly, Babajide Kolade Otitoju talked about how many forests are linked together within Kebbi and Niger states. He said these links give room of escape for the bandits. He wished the government and other legal agencies fast track their effort towards curtailing insecurity as lives are lost almost on a weekly basis.
Having read this, can you also suggest measures the federal government can use to curtail the height of insecurity?
