The head coach of Nigeria’s senior female national team, Thomas Dennerby has said that he has just resumed duty, therefore, he needs time to know the players before he can be fully in charge of the Falcons National Daily learnt.
He said: “I was with the team yesterday and today and I am satisfied with what I am seeing, but I still need more time to get to know more about the team for me to have an active role. For now, the coaching staff will pick the final list that will represent Nigeria in West Africa Football Union, WAFU, female competition in Ivory Coast. As we speak, I see myself as technical director.
Dennerby concluded “I am satisfied with their performance so far, my first impression is that we have a set of young players that are physically fit and good enough for the championship. We also have a good technical crew.”
