Remi Tinubu commends Super Falcons even in defeat
The wife of the Nigerian President, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, on Monday commended the Super Falcons of Nigeria after their defeat on penalty by England in the knockout stage of the the FIFA Women’s World Cup round of 16 game.

Remi Tinubu, who watched the match together with the wife of the Vice President, Hajia Nana Shettima, including the wife of the Senate President, Mrs Ekaette Akpabio, in a media interaction after match, declared that they are very proud of… the Super Falcons.
England defeated Nigeria 4-2 on penalties to reach the quarter-finals of the Women’s World Cup after 0-0 scores at the regulatory and extra time.
Remi Tinubu hailed the Super Falcons for their impressive performance at the tournament, saying that she is very proud of them.
The wife of the President also commended the coaching crew, assuring the team of her continued support.
The media aide to the President’s wife, Busola Kukoyi, in a tweet on Monday, wrote: “First Lady of Nigeria Senator Oluremi Tinubu CON with the wife of the Vice President Hajia Nana Shettima and wife of the senate President Mrs Ekaette Akpabio after watching the FIFA Women’s World Cup round of 16 games, have commended the Super Falcons saying they are very proud of them.
“Senator Oluremi Tinubu assures of her continued support for the team.”
