IGP deploys fresh troop to Zamfara

The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Ibrahim Idris had deployed more troops of Mobile Police men to Zamfara State.
The Force Public Relations Officer, Jimoh Yekini, a Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) disclosed this to National Daily this morning.
He said the deployment followed the spate of killings carried out by the Fulani Herdsmen against residents of the state.
The latest deployment involves mobile personnel drawn from all the mobile units across the country. They will compliment the efforts of the four mobile units earlier deployed to the state.
He confirmed that suspects linked to the last week killings of no fewer than 41 residents of Zamfara State has been arrested and currently being interrogated. It was also gathered that a special squad has been set up to trail and arrest the leaders of the cattle rustlers currently on rampage in all parts of the country.
