I’m still traumatised by Will Smith slapping Chris Rock – Oscars co-host Amy Schumer
Oscars co-host and comedian, Amy Schumer, has said that she is still triggered and traumatised by the moment Will Smith came on the stage to slap Chris Rock during the award on Sunday night.
Actor Will Smith had slapped comedian Chris Rock during the award ceremony for making a joke about his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith’s bald head.
On her Instagram page, Schumer commended Chris Rock for handling the situation like a professional.
She said, “But for real. Still triggered and traumatised. I love my friend #chrisrock and believe he handled it like a pro. Stayed up there and gave an Oscar to his friend #questlove and the whole thing was so disturbing.
“So much pain in #willsmith anyway. I’m still in shock and stunned and sad. I’m proud of myself and my cohosts. But yeah. Waiting for this sickening feeling to go away from what we all witnessed.”
