INEC maintains dates for 2019 general elections

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has indicated that the dates for the 2019 general elections remain as schedule. The posting on the Commission’s website shows that no alteration has been made as INEC encouraged stakeholders to “Save the dates for the#NigeriaDecides2019” elections.
The dates for the 2019 general elections are indicated as follows: 16th February 2019 for Presidential and National Assembly elections and 2nd March 2019 for Governorship and State Assembly/Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Council elections.
INEC further cautioned Nigerians to desist from selling their votes, their PVCs, their conscience and selling their future.
The Commission indicated its commitment to conducting transparent, free and fair elections in 2019.
