INEC to feed police with N6bn in 2019 polls
The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, says it is going to spend N6 billion in feeding the police during the 2019 general elections.
This is contained in the budget for the polls presented to the House of Representatives by INEC.
Lawmakers have raised eyebrows over the figure and are asking the INEC chairman, Prof. Mahmoud Yakubu, to defend it.
The House of Representatives Committee on Electoral Matters is having a meeting with the Independent National Electoral Commission.
The meeting is being staged to discuss the budget for the 2019 polls
