INEC uploads over 90% of Edo governorship election results to IReV portal
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has successfully uploaded 90.33% of results from the Edo governorship election to its Results Viewing Portal, IReV, as of the latest update.
Results from 4,082 out of the 4,519 polling units have been transmitted, leaving 437 polling units yet to be uploaded.
In an earlier interview on Arise Television, Anugbum Onuoha, the Resident Electoral Commissioner for Edo, assured the public that the electronic transmission of results would proceed smoothly, except for potential network disruptions.
He emphasized that the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) operators were well-trained to manage the accreditation process and result uploads efficiently.

“We have trained the operators for BVAS, and they are ready. After voting, the results will be counted and uploaded to IReV,” Onuoha stated.
The election features candidates such as the Peoples Democratic Party’s Asue Ighodalo, All Progressives Congress’ Monday Okpebholo, and Labour Party’s Olumide Akpata, who are competing for votes from 2.2 million registered voters across the state’s 18 local government areas.
Earlier reports indicated that INEC had uploaded 86.55% of the results before reaching the current 90.33%. Results from polling units continue to trickle in as the counting progresses.
