Interpol arrests corps member for impersonation
A 26-year-old National Youth Service Corps member, Emeh Nnamdi, who was declared wanted by the Nigeria Police Force on February 20, 2023 for allegedly impersonating an Assistant Superintendent of Police, has been arrested.
Nnamdi was arrested in a joint operation by INTERPOL operatives in Benin Republic and Nigeria on Friday, March 3, 2023 in connection with allegations that top police officers in Anambra State Command were involved in human organ trafficking, kidnapping and killing of suspects after extorting them.
National Daily gathered that Nnamdi, an IT expert, started impersonating officers of the NPF while serving as a tracker in the Anambra Police Command.
The 26-year old son of professor is currently in police custody in Abuja.
