Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah begs Putin for urgent support against U.S., Israel
Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah begs Putin for urgent support against U.S., Israel air strikes and bombardment of its territory.
Iran, accordingly, rushed to Russia to request urgent reinforcement from President Vladimir Putin to confront the United States (U.S.) and Israel in their bombarding Iranian territory.
Accordingly, Iranian Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, is expected to hand Russian President Vladimir Putin a letter from Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei with a request for more support amid U.S./Israeli strikes on the country, Reuters reported on Monday, citing a senior source.
Araghchi arrived in Moscow on Sunday to hold talks with the Russian leadership.
Iranian sources told the news agency that Tehran “has not been impressed’’ with the level of support from Moscow and wanted Russia to take stronger measures in backing Iran against Israel and the U.S.
However, the sources did not specify what additional assistance Tehran was seeking, Reuters said. (RIA/NAN)
