Just in: Tinubu sworn in as Nigeria’s 16th President
Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been sworn in as the 16th President and Commander-in-Chief of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
He took the oath of office at exactly 10:35am with the Chief Justice of Nigeria Justice Olukayode Ariwodola in charge.
He took the oath of office to a rousing applause by supporters and well-wishers at the colourful ceremony at the Eagles Square.
Before Tinubu, Senator Kashim Shettima was also sworn in as the 16th Vice President.
He was sworn in at Eagles Square with the Chief Justice of Nigeria Justice Olukayode Ariwoola administering the oath of office on him.
