Kidnappers of custom officer demand N10m ransom
The kidnappers of a Custom Officer in Zamfara State, Muhsin Lawal, have contacted the family, placing a ransom of N10 million for his freedom.
Muhsin Lawal, is a Customs Officer with the Kano State Command. He was kidnapped last Friday at his residence in Tsafe Local Government Area, Zamfara State, at about 8.30pm. Lawal was said to have come back home to be with his family for the weekend and was kidnapped by the bandits who invaded his residence after returning from the Mosque.
The kidnappers were said to have called the family, demanding N10 million ransom before he is released from tehri captivity.
The kidnapped Customs Officer was said to have offered the kidnappers N3 million ransom, which the bandits rejected, insisting on N10 million.
Treh Zamfara State Police Command was said to have disclosed that tactical operatives have been deployed to ensure the safe return of the Customs officer and other kidnapped victims.
