Kwara factory shut portal as 8,373 apply for 300 vacancies
The management of the Kwara State Garment Factory, on Wednesday, announced a shut down of its application portal as over 8,000 persons applied for the 300 vacancies available in the factory in two days.
The factory, on Monday, announced 300 new vacancies for production workers.
However, in a statement on the official X handle of the Kwara State Government on Wednesday, the factory announced a shut down of its application portal.
The statement partly read, “We are impressed by this response, which shows that people are truly keen and excited to work with us.
“However, we are compelled to close the portal ahead of the earlier deadline because of the number of the applications already received.
“We received no less than 8,373 applications within the first 48 hours of opening the portal. That was impressive!
“We have therefore shut the portal to allow for thorough and professional screening of the applications already submitted.”
