Lagos bars staff, visitors without ID from secretariat complex

Resolved to instill in the staffers of the Lagos State Government, especially visitors and those working within Alausa secretariat the culture of displaying identity cards,few officers were seen barring individuals without a means of identification from gaining entrance into the secretariat premises this morning.

Dumbfounded by the unexpected many even those who just needed to drop letters and some documents with one ministry or the other without a valid ID were turned back.

Asked what informs the boulders mounted at the entry point into the secretariat, an officer with the state government who pleaded anonymity noted that it is high time movements in out of the premises be moderated to aid security arrangements in and around the area.
