The Lagos State Government has impounded 488 vehicles for violating Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) lane regulations between January and August.
The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) apprehended the offenders at various locations across the state.
LASTMA Director of Public Affairs and Enlightenment, Taofiq Adebayo, urged motorists to refrain from using BRT lanes, emphasizing that all offenders would face prosecution.

He specifically highlighted the recent road rehabilitation on the Abule-Egba to Iyana-Ipaja BRT corridor, emphasizing the need for motorists to use designated lanes.
Adebayo reiterated the Lagos State Government’s commitment to providing excellent infrastructure and urged road users to cooperate by adhering to traffic rules and regulations.
