Lawal sworn in as Oyo Deputy Governor
Adebayo Lawal has been sworn in as the new Deputy Governor of Oyo State.
He was sworn in by Chief Judge, Justice Munta Abimbola, on Monday.
During the ceremony, Governor Seyi Makinde told Lawal, “The position of the deputy governor is a position of trust. Our masters are the people of Oyo State, and our responsibility is to continue to serve them to the best of our abilities and deliver good governance to them.”
Meanwhile, Makinde’s ex-deputy governor, Rauf Olaniyan, was removed on Monday.
