Loan Officer docked over alleged N1.2m theft
A Loan Officer, Mrs. Abisola Olayiwola, was on Friday docked before an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court, Ibadan, over an alleged N1.2 million theft.
Olayiwola, 41, whose address was not given, is being charged with theft, to which she pleaded not guilty.
The Prosecutor, Sgt. Samuel Owolabi, told the court that the defendant committed the offence between April 2024 and March 2025 at Moniya, Ibadan.
Owolabi said that Olayiwola stole the sum of N1.2 million belonging to the complainant, Sunday Abadunmi.
The prosecutor further said that the offence contravened Section 390(9) of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.
The Magistrate, Mrs. Gladys Oladele, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N500,000, with two reliable sureties in like sum.
She adjourned the case to July 7, for hearing. (NAN)
