Madonna breaks silence after hospitalisation
Madonna, the renowned American popstar at 64, has shared her path to recovery after being urgently hospitalized and placed in the Intensive Care Unit in New York for unresponsiveness.
She revealed this on Monday through a post on her Instagram page. Her manager, Guy Oseary, confirmed her prolonged stay in the ICU due to a severe bacterial infection.
Madonna was compelled to postpone her highly anticipated 40th-anniversary tour due to her health struggles.
Expressing gratitude to her fans, she wrote, “I deeply appreciate your positive energy, prayers, healing words, and encouragement. I have felt your love.
“I am steadily progressing towards recovery and I am immensely grateful for all the blessings.

“When I regained consciousness in the hospital, my initial thoughts were of my children.
“My subsequent thought was the desire not to disappoint those who purchased tickets for my tour.
“I also didn’t want to let down the dedicated individuals who have worked tirelessly with me over the past few months to create my show. Disappointing anyone is something I detest.
“At present, my focus is on my health and regaining strength. Rest assured, I will return to you as soon as I am able.
“My current plan involves rescheduling the North American leg of the tour and commencing performances in Europe in October.
“I cannot express enough gratitude for your care and support.”
