Man, 54, burns 5 stepchildren into unconsciousness as wife denies him sex
The Ondo State Police Command has arrested a 54-year-old man for burning five step-children into unconsciousness at Fagun crescent area of Ondo town.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the Ondo State Command, SP Funmilayo Odunlami, on Sunday disclosed that the incident occurred on Saturday, adding that the suspect is under investigation as the victims are currently receiving treatment at Federal Medical Centre, Owo.
The PPRO was cited to have stated: “This is a case of alleged arson and murder, and we need to investigate it to know the cause and how it happened.
“Meanwhile, the case has been transferred to our Criminal Investigations Department (CID) for proper investigation.”
The man was cited to have said that his wife is mother of the burnt children, noting that the wife offended him when they had quarrel in the house.
The man was said to have been provoked because his wife denied him sex.
