Man arrested for allegedly killing his only son
A man identified as Aniekan James has been arrested by the Nigerian police for killing his 35-year-old son Odudu James.
According to the police, Aniekan killed Odudu, identified as his only son on June 16, 2023 & was arrested on the same day.
Aniekan was described as a ‘habitual murderer’, having reportedly killed in the past in Lagos & Abia states. Olatoye Durosinmi, the Akwa Ibom State Police Commissioner, disclosed this to journalists on Monday when Aniekan was paraded along with 268 other suspects arrested for various offences across the state.

Durosinmi said, “On June 16, 2023, one Aniekan James of Ikot Ndot village in Ukanafun LGA was arrested by the Ukanafun division for shooting his 35-year-old only son, Odudu James, who had been having a war of words with him.
The suspect is alleged to be a habitual murderer who has committed murders in Lagos & Aba states.”
