Man arrested for faking epilepsy to scam people
A young man has been arrested in Lekki, Lagos, for faking epilepsy to scam people. The man, identified as John, would pretend to have an epileptic seizure in public, and then ask for money from people to help him get medical treatment
John was arrested after a video of him faking an epileptic seizure went viral on social media. In the video, he can be seen falling to the ground and convulsing. However, the video also shows John getting up and walking away after the seizure is over.

After the video went viral, several people came forward to say that they had been scammed by John. They said that they had given him money to help him get medical treatment, but he had never used the money for that purpose.
He has been arrested and is currently being held in police custody.
The police are warning people to be wary of people who pretend to be sick or injured in order to scam them. They say that people should always be suspicious of anyone who asks for money for medical treatment, and they should never give money to someone without first verifying their story.
