Police arrest officers for assaulting lady
The Nigeria Police Force has arrested officers who were sighted in a viral video assaulting a lady recently in Rivers State.
The Police in a statement on Monday declared: the “police officers allegedly involved in the incident from the video have been identified and are now in custody as part of our ongoing investigation. We are committed to ensuring a fair and thorough examination of this matter.”

The Police invited the female victim to come to Rivers Sate Police Command to narrate her own part of the story, assuring her of safety.

The Rivers State Command, acknowledging the incident, declared:
“The attention of the Rivers State Police Command has been drawn to this trending video, and the Command wish to inform the General Public that all hands are on deck to identify the Police Officers in the trending video for proper investigation”
The lady sustained injury and left the scene with bleeding mouth, while her sister went wild in confronting the Police officers.
