Man. City beat Tottenham 1-0, win Carabao Cup
Manchester City on Sunday defeated Tottenham Spurs 1-0 in the final of the Carabao Cup at Wembley. The first half ended 0-0. Manchester City scored the only goal of the match in the 82nd minute through defender Aymeric Laporte who headed Midfielder Kevin de Bruyne’s free kick beyond Tottenham’s goalkeeper, Hugo Lloris, clinch victory for the team.
The Sunday victory over Tottenham Spurs was the fourth consecutive time Manchester City won the Carabao Cup. The team rivaled Liverpool in winning the Carabao Cup for the eight time.
Man. City in the 2020 Carabao Cup final, defeated Aston Villa 2-1 to win the cup for the third time before the coronavirus lockdown in England.
Manchester City is currently in top of the English Premier League table and close to winning the league for the season. The English team is also playing in the quarter final of the European Champions League, facing PSG of France to qualify in the final.
