Manchester City’s Champions League nightmare revealed
Manchester City stormed into the quarter-final stage of the Champions League in a cruel fashion after demolishing RB Leipzig 7-0 at the Etihad on Tuesday night and (8-1 on aggregate).
Meanwhile, Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand believes there are only two sides Manchester City will be hoping to avoid in the Champions League draw, National Daily learnt.
City advanced to the quarter-final stage on Tuesday night after thrashing RB Leipzig 7-0 (8-1 on aggregate) at the Etihad with Erling Haaland scoring five goals – breaking several records in the process.
Pep Guardiola’s side unleashed Erling Haaland who scored five goals to break several records in the process have been widely tipped to finally win the Champions League after coming agonisingly close in the past two seasons but the competition will only get tougher from this point onwards.
National Daily can confirm that Real Madrid or Liverpool and Napoli or Frankfurt will hope to join the likes of Chelsea, Bayern Munich, AC Milan, Benfica, Inter Milan and City who are currently in the draw.

Ferdinand believes that City will like to avoid Napoli or Bayern in the Semi-final draw
The Etihad club will however learn their next opponents on Friday, but could have Bayern and Napoli already posing a nightmare to their quest for Champions League glory considering their blistering form.
After City’s sensational performance against Leipzig, Ferdinand thinks Bbayern and Napoli are the only two sides that can stop Guardiola and his men from making it to the semi-finals.
‘They [City] will be thinking, “stay away from Bayern, stay away from Napoli. Everybody else is game”,’ the former defender told BT Sport.
‘They are that good a team. They have experience at this level now and they’ve got the players that can hurt any team on the planet.’
Ex-Bayern, United and City midfielder Owen Hargreaves echoed his fellow pundit, highlighting the threat of the runaway Serie A leaders.
He added: ‘If they [City] play like that they don’t need to worry about anybody else. They don’t need to worry about Benfica or AC Milan or Inter.
